Gamechanger

Gamechanger is new for the 2026 season in the Minors and Majors divisions

The Spirit Lake, Okoboji, and Lake Park leagues have adopted the following guidelines for using Gamechanger

  • The home team is responsible for scoring with Gamechanger
  • The visiting team keeps a paper book in case of errors or disputes
  • The home team can keep an optional paper book as well
  • Visiting coach pre-loads and shares lineup with the home team Gamechanger scorekeeper
  • Player jerseys (including substitute players) must have numbers on them
  • Coaches will notify Gamechanger scorekeeper when changing pitchers between innings
  • Each team must have a dedicated person (coach or parent) to run Gamechanger

Team Scorekeeper

Keeping score with Gamechanger requires a lot of attention, making it very difficult to do while coaching. For this reason, we recommend having a third coach or a non-coaching parent run Gamechanger. Once you determine the scorekeeper, ensure they have permissions to keep score. We recommend every scorekeeper and coach go through the Gamechanger University linked below to gain a better understanding of how the app works.

Before Each Game

In the Gamechanger app, select the upcoming game. Select "Set Starting Lineup" and then set the batting order by selecting each player in the order that they will be batting. For positions, you need to set your starting pitcher but the other positions do not need to be set.
